Mosaic of religions
There is a freedom of religion in Taiwan. Strong economic growth combined with ability to decide one's affairs has lead into religious renessance. All kinds of churches and temples are standing side by side, accompanied by 7elevens and other businesses. Competition over consumers' souls is tough.

Well, that's how I look at it. If one is constantly under such a flood of marketing messages as one is in Taiwan. Every organization is bound to compete for attention. Counting on mere serenity is not enough.
